We hope you will find our website fun, interesting and informative. The club has been a long time forming into what it is today and has its roots way back to the late eighties early nineties when myself Mr Spesh and Mr Goat found a love and madness for riding a new breed of bikes that were born to the cycling market. Over the years bike specifications have changed radically and alongside this so has our riding styles and abilities. To such an extent ‘Reservoir Goats’ was born to cater for like-minded riders that wanted a bit of everything in their riding portfolio.
We like to think we are a mix of XC – downhill – leisure – jumping – free ride – all mountain kinda guys. Testament to how we ride and the dedication we have for people’s abilities, we bring people into the club and take them to another level they never thought they couldn’t reach. With qualified mountain bike instructors on board and two qualified out door first aiders we are in a position to offer you the best mountain bike experience with the emphasis on enjoying the ride! OK so we don’t bounce as much as when we were kids, but we are all still kids inside, we just loose it when we become sensible adults! ‘Release the kid within’ you know you want to…
We ride three times a week all year round so that does include night riding. Mainly Wednesday (Summer DH & Freeride Woburn Bike park)(winter may take in Urban aspects) and Thursday evenings and then early Sunday mornings as our main club ride. We have been riding Aspley-Brickhill woods for some 20+ years now with loops ranging from 8K up to 38K taking in ‘The big dipper’, ‘The Roller Coaster – RC1′, The new RC2, Hogans Run, Ginger, Dusty bottom, ‘Crash – Bang – Wallop – Ouch!’, Goat’s Back Passage, Jamster, Star Wars,Empire, Flowtastic to name a few mouth watering trail sections. We also organise weekends away to various ride locations around the UK and trips abroad, DH & Enduro race events and stacks of other social events.
For the lady riders out there the ‘Reservoir Goats’ have been joined by the ‘Reservoir Chicks‘ who join us on our weekly rides.
Thank you for visiting our site we hope to see you on the trails soon.
